<p>O Serviço Nacional de Parques e Vida Selvagem, Nova Gales do Sul, na Austrália, deu início a um programa com o intuito de salvar os animais selvagens que sofreram com os incêndios que está consumindo as florestas da Austrália.</p>
<p>Funcionários do grupo lançaram de um helicóptero toneladas de batatas e cenouras para alimentar wallabies, cangurus e outras espécies selvagens desde sábado(11) e continuam a espalhar esses alimentos.</p>

<p>Com todas essas queimas os alimentos se encontram cada vez mais escassos em diversas regiões. Segundo as autoridades, cerca de 5 milhões de hectares de terra já foram queimados.</p>
<p>Um estudo feito pela Universidade de Sidney revela que as chamas já mataram meio bilhão de animais silvestres, entre répteis, mamíferos e pássaros.</p>
